Searches will be based on person’s biological sex but requests for ‘lived gender’ searches considered
Police Scotland searches of transgender people will be undertaken on the basis of biological sex, while attempts to accomodate requests for an officer of their 'lived gender' to carry out the search will also be made, interim guidance by the force has said.
