Red Snapper Learning (RSL) is recruiting an experienced Trainer / Subject Matter Expert to support a major new Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) programme.

Contract Length: 2 years
Engagement: Part-time (2–3 days per week)
Location: Hybrid – including 1 day per week face-to-face in London

Red Snapper Learning (RSL) is recruiting an experienced Trainer / Subject Matter Expert to support a major new Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) programme. This long-term project focuses on the implementation of a new system and requires an individual with strong training design and delivery expertise, alongside prior MPS experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead on the Training Needs Analysis (TNA) for the new HR system.
  • Design engaging and effective training materials for:
    • E-learning
    • Face-to-face classroom delivery
  • Develop e-learning content using the MPS e-learning platform.
  • Deliver training to end users, both virtually and in person.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, ensuring training aligns with MPS processes and ways of working.

Essential Requirements

  • Former MPS experience (essential).
  • Proven experience designing and delivering systems-related training.
  • Strong instructional design capability across blended learning formats.
  • Confident facilitator with excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to commit to a 2-year programme on a part-time basis.

Working Pattern & Rate

  • £300-350 per day
  • Initially 2–3 days per week
  • 1 day per week on-site in London, with remaining days remote
