Test your knowledge in a NIE/ promotion mock exam for Police Oracle subscribers

Police Oracle 02/02/2026
Comments 1

During the session, candidates will work through 20 exam-style multiple-choice questions covering key areas of the syllabus.

Police Revision will be hosting a free 90-minute live mock exam session in February, offering candidates a realistic opportunity to prepare for the National Investigators’ Exam (NIE) and the Sergeants’ and Inspectors’ promotion examinations.

The session is designed to mirror real exam conditions while helping candidates build confidence, sharpen exam technique, and strengthen their understanding of the legal principles that are most frequently tested.

During the session, candidates will work through 20 exam-style multiple-choice questions covering key areas of the syllabus. Each question is displayed on screen and candidates are given 90 seconds to submit an answer, accurately reflecting the pace and pressure of the real thing. Responses are shared via the chat function, allowing the tutor to comment on emerging patterns and highlight areas where candidates may be divided or uncertain.

An experienced police tutor then breaks down each question in detail, explaining why the correct answer is right, why the alternative options are incorrect, and where common mistakes are made. This detailed walkthrough reinforces the core learning points and legal concepts that regularly make the difference between pass and fail.

The session is delivered in a structured format to ensure all questions are covered within the available time and is therefore not run as an open Q&A. Any follow-up questions can be submitted after the event to info@policerevision.com, where a member of the tutor team will respond. In practice, only a small number of questions tend to arise once the session concludes.

The mock exam event typically runs for between one hour and fifteen minutes and one hour and thirty minutes, depending on the pace of the session, and provides a clear, focused revision experience without unnecessary overload. It also offers an introduction to Police Revision’s wider exam support, including the £49 Crammer courses, which are positioned as a natural next step for candidates seeking more structured, exam-focused preparation.

The first session, Police Revision – Mock Exam One, will take place on Thursday 12 February 2026 from 6:00pm to 7:30pm and will be delivered live online.

The two sessions are Free for full subscribers
