Officers can march at Birmingham Pride in uniform despite calls for ban
Activist Peter Tatchell called for the ban after the force's Chief Constable, Sir David Thompson, declined to apologise for historical treatment of the LGBT+ community - arguing that officers were 'enforcing the law' which existed at that time.
