Our strategic police advisor, Mike Worrall, a former Detective Chief Superintendent from Kent Police, will provide you with valuable insights into effective preparation. Mike has been a reactive and proactive detective in all ranks for 28 years, and as a former head of crime has led numerous high-profile investigations. During the last five years of his service Mike chaired numerous promotion boards, through this experience he observed many candidates who were wholly unprepared and did not know what to expect from their promotion board.
To support those going for promotion, Mike is delivering one-to-one and group sessions supported by Jill Staples-Harding, a seasoned Inspector with 30 years experience in the Metropolitan police where she worked for several years as a Work Based Assessor for newly promoted Sergeants and Inspectors. She was also the Diversity Lead within the Met Police Federation and in this capacity, observed many promotion boards, up to and including Superintendent level, to ensure fairness and parity for all candidates.
