Degree programme already harming retention rates, says chief
Chief constable Nick Adderley, the most vocal critic of the College of Policing's degree programme, has said it's partly to blame for the number of new recruits leaving the service.

Northamptonshire Police on average lose around 100 people a year. But the chief says the numbers are increasing and they are now on track to lose around 120 a year.
“And I think that's going to grow,” he warned.
