We are seeking dynamic, innovative and inspirational Inspectors who are motivated to drive success, lead with integrity and deliver outstanding policing services.

You will lead transparently, uphold accountability, and foster collaborative approaches to resolving the issues that matter most to the public. You will ensure that victims are at the heart of all we do, that responses are effective, investigations are conducted to the highest standards, and that proportionate and appropriate outcomes are achieved.

You will be responsible for leading your team, setting clear expectations, driving performance and upholding organisational standards. You will build and maintain strong partnerships, influence across teams and functions, and embody the force’s PROUD values in everything you do.

Through visible, values‑led leadership, you will create a professional and inclusive working environment that promotes diversity, strengthens legitimacy and enhances service delivery. Working collaboratively with partners, you will ensure policing in Nottinghamshire remains effective, ethical and trusted.

Applications are invited from substantive Inspectors seeking transfer, or substantive Sergeants (including temporary and acting Inspectors) from Home Office Forces.

All candidates must submit the following:-

The advert opens on Monday 20 April 2026 and the closing date for applications is Friday 8 May 2026 at 23:59 hours.

Following the Moderation Panel, results will be communicated via the recruitment portal during the week commencing 1 June 2026. Successful candidates will be put through to the next stage of the process.

Executive Interviews will take place between 8 – 19 June 2026
