The delivery of Project Blacklight – a new, highly motivated team to the NCA, supporting a top priority for the Agency. You will work to deliver the objective set out by the Director General to deliver on a best practice for the whole Agency in managing evidence and hard copy records. As a Project Blacklight Business Support Officer, you will be supporting a busy and collaborative team who deliver a suite of core support services to operational delivery colleagues including: assisting with the delivery of Project Blacklight; providing front-line services and equipment; and, supporting the department in achieving the NCA’s business objectives and transforming our capabilities. This is a new and varied role that will see the successful candidate engaging with the full spectrum of NCA business areas. Although demanding, this post requires someone who can offer excellent customer service delivery and balances the requirements of customers and the reputation of the Agency.

The role remit of a Project Blacklight Business Support Officer includes responsibility for the oversight of logistics and storage of assets (hard-copy records, exhibits, bulk seized items) via the appropriate facility. You will lead the Agency’s standards for effective and quality cataloguing of assets in order to facilitate the creation of a searchable corporate record for all hard copy records and exhibits across the NCA. A crucial aspect of the role consists of providing a compliance oversight function, producing valuable management insight to determine whether standards are in line with set expectations of the Agency. The role has also recently assumed responsibility for embedding effective processes around the management of various assets across the Agency. The role requires assistance with the co-ordination of front-line organisational services and equipment, such as stationery facilitation, postal services and General Purpose Vehicle management.

New entrants to the NCA receive 26 days annual leave, rising to 31 on completion of 5 years continuous service, plus 8 bank holidays.
If qualifying criteria is met new joiners from UK Police Forces or the UK Intelligence Community (UKIC) will have service with those employers taken into account for continuous service purposes for annual leave entitlement only, this will be up to a maximum of 31 days leave (including 1 privilege day).

Longlist
