Investigation & Intelligence Analyst – Multiple Roles
Pay Rate: £23.91 per hour | Location: Belfast & London (hybrid working) | Contract: Temporary for six months

About the Role
Red Snapper Recruitment is partnering with the newly established Independent Commission for Reconciliation and Information Recovery (ICRIR) to recruit Investigation & Intelligence Analysts. This is a unique opportunity to support the Commission’s mission: providing information to families, victims, and survivors of Troubles-related deaths and serious injury, while promoting reconciliation.

Working as part of an integrated investigations team, Analysts will support Senior Investigating Officers, prepare intelligence products, and contribute to investigative strategies. The role offers exposure to a range of sensitive databases and intelligence sources and requires high levels of discretion and integrity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce analytical products, briefings, and presentations for investigations and Senior Leadership Teams.
  • Provide tactical and operational analytical support, including for potential court proceedings.
  • Interrogate sensitive databases and intelligence systems to inform investigative decisions.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with internal teams and external partners.
  • Stay up-to-date with analytical techniques, innovation, and best practice.
  • Adhere to all legal, ethical, and organisational policies and guidance.

Person Specification

  • Experience as an analyst in investigations or intelligence, with relevant qualifications (e.g., IPP Certification or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of intelligence management and the National Intelligence Model (NIM).
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proficient in IT packages and database systems for analysing, interpreting, and presenting data.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with integrity, discretion, and confidentiality.
  • DV/STRAP clearance and attain STRAP accreditation (UK Nationals only).

Desirable

  • Experience operating in Northern Ireland.
  • Familiarity with handling highly sensitive intelligence.
