Investigator – CID (Historic Abuse & Sexual Offences)

State of Jersey Police

The State of Jersey Police are seeking an experienced Investigator to join their CID team supporting an ongoing investigation into historic abuse and sexual offences involving vulnerable witnesses.

About the role 
You’ll work as a civilian investigator within CID, managing your own caseload and contributing to the wider goals of the unit. The work is sensitive, complex and high impact. You’ll gather high‑quality evidence, support vulnerable witnesses and deliver professional investigative outcomes.

Key responsibilities
• Conduct ABE‑compliant interviews with vulnerable witnesses
• Manage enquiries and build strong investigative case files
• Work alongside detectives within CID to progress live investigations
• Handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
• Maintain accurate records and meet investigative standards

What you’ll need
• Recent, practical experience of ABE interviewing
• Previous policing experience and strong investigative knowledge
• Ability to manage complex and sensitive enquiries
• Confidence working with vulnerable victims and witnesses
• Eligibility to obtain Police Vetting Level 2
