Retailers failing to assist investigations into shop theft, says retail crime lead
Chief Inspector Rav Pathania, the Met’s lead for tackling retail crime, told the Telegraph detectives were unable to obtain security camera or body-worn video images of suspected thieves in 80% of cases reported in 2025.
