Looking to take the next step in your policing career or bring your investigative expertise to a new environment? Lincolnshire Police could be your next opportunity. We are inviting police officers from across England and Wales to transfer into our Protecting Vulnerable Persons (PVP) department, as part of the Force’s ambitious Lincs 2030 transformation and investment programme. The recruitment drive comes following significant investment in both Detective Constables and Detective Sergeants to work in our investigation and safeguarding teams, creating new opportunities for PIP2 investigators in particular, who want to make a lasting difference to the lives of some of the county’s most vulnerable people. The PVP department investigates some of the most complex and challenging crimes, including child abuse, sexual offences and offences involving vulnerable adults. Their work also complements that of Major Crime, who are also currently recruiting staff, so there are numerous opportunities. As demand continues to increase nationally, Lincolnshire Police is investing in additional specialist officers to strengthen its ability to protect victims, pursue offenders and improve outcomes for communities in all areas of the county.
More about the role The role is to develop intelligence and investigate crime and any other investigations at a level deemed appropriate. This role allows the post holder to build on proven investigative experience by working with a range of law enforcement agencies and private and public sector stakeholders. This to assist in achieving the best outcomes for both UK Policing and our stakeholders.
Enjoying unique lifestyle opportunities, St Helena Island is a self-governing overseas territory of the United Kingdom. Although better placed to develop economically and socially as a result of opening our international airport in 2017, we are not at the stage of self-sufficiency and therefore remain dependent on UK government aid. As the Probation Officer for the Island, you will undertake all offender management tasks supported by a Probation Support Officer. This will include assessing and managing the risk posed by offenders. With lead responsibility for interventions you will develop partnerships, train and nurture local staff and provide input to the island’s Safeguarding Board on behalf of the Probation Service. You will contribute directly to public protection through your role as Chair of the island’s Multi-Agency Public Protection Arrangements. You will also support the delivery of interventions to young people who are considered ‘at risk’ of offending through the Youth Diversion Scheme, responding to crises or emergencies, providing guidance, support, and referrals as necessary for those serving sentences within the community. Your training, support and supervision of the Probation Support Officer will be invaluable.
