The role is not just a desk-based job it is a very active role requiring a lot of lifting, carrying, and walking between our different storage areas. We use a Van on a regular basis to visit various locations to collect/dispose of items of property, therefore driving licence is essential. Evidence Officers are required to deal with a multitude of items some of which can be unpleasant to handle or heavy/awkward to lift. As part of the Evidence Officer role, you are required to deal with members of the public daily, both face to face and over the phone.
