Are you looking for a new and exciting opportunity? Our Safer Roads Unit (SRU) are looking for a JOU Traffic Management Officer. A good understanding of the road traffic act will be beneficial with training provided to understand the details of road signing, engineering and traffic regulation orders. Although you will be assigned to manage all enquiries for a specific area, as part of the team you will be expected to attend any location across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight to assist with deployment of our equipment and site visits with other members of the team. As part of the Safer Roads Unit, our team deals with the specific details of traffic legislation and road safety, working closely with many stakeholders and external partners. Essential Qualifications
Educated to QCF Level 2 OR work experience deemed to have brought the post holder to a comparable level
Essential Work Experience
Considerable experience in the area of Casualty Reduction and Traffic Management
Experience of inputting to and retrieving data from databases
To demonstrate a good professional working knowledge of traffic legislation and have a genuine interest in Roads Policing and Road Safety issues
