Red Snapper Recruitment are recruiting for 2 x Intelligence Officers to support with the Evaluation of information and production of intelligence products for a UK government executive non-departmental public body.
Location: Remote
Contract: Fixed-Term until end of March 2027
Salary: £29,343 per annum (pro rata)
Vetting: Must have active and current SC
General Responsibilities
- Accurately collate, research, evaluate and record information on the appropriate database, triaging intelligence as appropriate.
- Produce and disseminate intelligence products to inform the focus of criminal investigations and regulatory activity and priorities.
- Deliver information in formal reports or as a briefing.
- Working collaboratively with staff and partner agencies to make sure good quality intelligence is shared.
- Working with other stakeholders to ensure the sharing of relevant and accurate information.
- Provide support to the Senior Intelligence Officer.
- To provide on-going intelligence support to investigations and regulatory activity.
- Intelligence is assessed in accordance with processes and developed as appropriate.
- Support the continued development of the intel function by reviewing processes and practices and considering opportunities for improvement
- To keep abreast of developments in intelligence, data protection, associated legislation and any immigration developments that may impact.
- Support the data retention and deletion process as directed by the Intel Team Manager.
- Undertake any other work that is reasonably expected.
Person Specification
Essential criteria:
- Knowledge of intelligence collection methods and techniques.
- Basic understanding of the use of intelligence for criminal investigations.
- Researching and gathering information from a wide range of sources.
- Evaluating information and presenting results.
- Good understanding of data protection and data management.
- Planning and managing own workload.
- Information Technology skills inc MS word and Excel.
- Hold Intelligence professionalisation programme certification (IPP) or be working towards it.
Desirable criteria:
- A basic knowledge of the National Intelligence Model.
- A working knowledge of IBM i2 Ibase and Notebook Analyst.
