About The Role Are you a creative individual looking to use your visual communication skills in a role that can make a real difference in the criminal justice system? As an Imaging Technician within our Digital Forensics team, you will play a vital role in supporting criminal investigations and the wider justice system by conveying often complex evidential material through engaging visual products that help present cases at court. Using industry standard software including Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator, you will create Electronic Presentations of Evidence (EPEs), produce scene and injury reconstructions, and develop imagery that assists investigations and helps juries understand the key aspects of a case. You will also attend crime scenes to undertake specialist laser scanning, capturing data then used to create accurate 2D and 3D visualisations for investigative and evidential purposes. Working within an ISO accredited laboratory environment, the post holder will also forensically retrieve and process CCTV footage from a range of locations across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. Whether you're already working in policing already or bringing experience from a creative, digital imaging or design background, you'll have the opportunity to apply your skills in a unique role where your work contributes directly to the criminal justice system.
Please note: The post holder will be in receipt of Standby allowance once they have joined the out of hours callout rota

Essential Qualifications
Educated to QCF Level 6 in a relevant visual or digital subject,
OR have significant work experience deemed to have brought
the post holder to a comparable level.
Must have good eyesight, i.e. at least 6/36 uncorrected vision.
Must have a full, current driving licence.
Essential Experience
A working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and
Illustrator.
