Join a National Law Enforcement Support Service

We are recruiting six Business & Facilities Clerks to join a busy national law enforcement support organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong administrative skills who are looking to build a career within a professional, highly regulated environment that supports policing and criminal justice services across the UK.

The successful candidates will play a key role in ensuring the secure handling, processing, and distribution of sensitive correspondence, documentation, and packages while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality, accuracy, and data security.

About the Role

Working within the Business & Facilities team, you will provide essential clerical and administrative support, ensuring the smooth operation of daily business activities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Processing incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and courier deliveries.

  • Recording and maintaining accurate manual and electronic records.

  • Identifying and reporting suspicious mail or packages in accordance with established procedures.

  • Checking information for accuracy and escalating discrepancies when required.

  • Supporting data protection compliance and reporting any data security concerns.

  • Providing administrative assistance across the wider Business & Facilities function.

  • Completing mandatory training relating to health and safety, security, and operational procedures.

  • Supporting colleagues and assisting with onboarding and peer support activities when required.

  • Participating in a rota covering early deliveries and late collections.

What We’re Looking For

Essential Requirements

  • Good standard of education, including English and Mathematics, or equivalent workplace experience.

  • Experience handling information using both manual and computerised systems.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Good organisational and communication skills.

  • Comfortable using computer systems and keyboard-based applications.

  • Ability to work with confidential and sensitive information.

Desirable Experience

  • Previous experience in an administrative or office-based role.

  • Experience maintaining filing, indexing, or records management systems.

  • Experience working within a criminal justice, policing, public sector, or highly regulated environment.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

Security Vetting Requirements

Due to the sensitive nature of this role, successful applicants will be required to undergo and maintain enhanced law enforcement security vetting before appointment.

Applicants should be aware that vetting standards are rigorous. Candidates must be able to demonstrate honesty, integrity, and reliability, and any criminal convictions, cautions, or other issues that could impact security clearance may affect eligibility for the role.

What You’ll Gain

  • Opportunity to work within a nationally recognised law enforcement support environment.

  • Comprehensive training and ongoing professional development.

  • Valuable experience handling sensitive information and supporting operational services.

  • A structured and supportive team environment.

  • Career development opportunities within policing and criminal justice support services.

If you are organised, reliable, security conscious, and looking for an opportunity to contribute to an organisation that supports law enforcement across the UK, we would like to hear from you.
