About the Role We are seeking a skilled and motivated ICT Network Engineer to join our ICT Department. This is a full-time, permanent position based at our Headquarters in Liverpool. As a member of the Technical Support Team, you’ll operate at a third line level, providing expert support and driving improvements across our enterprise network infrastructure. You will play a key role in maintaining secure, resilient, and high-performing network services that underpin critical policing operations. Working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, you will support a wide range of networking technologies including LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and security platforms. About the Role As a Reactive Maintenance Officer, you will: Deliver a comprehensive reactive and proactive property maintenance service across the Force estate. Participate in an out-of-hours emergency call-out rota, providing support to designated buildings as required. Supervise the Force-wide portering service and maintenance assistants to ensure the effective delivery of a 24/7 customer-focused service. Manage and coordinate responses to property maintenance issues, ensuring repairs are completed to agreed standards and within statutory requirements. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal customers, identifying opportunities to enhance service delivery. Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations and health and safety requirements. Support sustainability initiatives and identify opportunities for energy efficiencies across the estate. Liaise with contractors, suppliers and stakeholders to ensure value for money and quality service provision.
The North West Regional Organised Crime Unit is a collaborative multi agency covert response to tackle serious and organised crime across the North West Region. The TEI Deployment Specialist role will involve deploying, testing, researching & developing covert technical solutions to support policing operations. This role is aimed at those that have a genuine interest in technology and enjoy learning about new and improved technical assets with an eagerness to learn new skills, showing a willingness to take on a technical challenge. The role holder will be offered opportunities to undertake ongoing specialist development. The NWROCU leads the policing response across the region posed by serious and organized crime in Cumbria, Lancashire, Merseyside, Cheshire, Greater Manchester and North Wales. The NWROCU provides the vital link from national capabilities and expertise to local policing and knowledge, enabling the North West region to deliver the Government’s serious and organized Crime strategy and to protect communities from harm. The initial secondment period is for a fixed term 12-month contract reviewable with any extension subject to performance and continued funding. More about the role As a Freedom of Information Officer, you will play a key role in managing and responding to FOI requests received by the National Police Chiefs' Council (NPCC). You will research and analyse information, apply FOI legislation and exemptions, draft responses, and work closely with colleagues and stakeholders across the police service to ensure timely and compliant disclosures. We're looking for someone with strong written communication skills, excellent attention to detail, sound judgement, and the ability to analyse and interpret information. You will be highly organised, able to manage competing priorities, and confident in building effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. About the role As a Contact Management Centre Officer, you will be on the front line of policing and responsible for receiving emergency 999 and non-emergency 101 calls from members of the public and dispatching Officers to the scene. You will need to apply an investigative mind set to: Complete detailed crime reports, ensuring all lines of enquiry are considered; Risk assess each call and decide on the best course of action; Create incidents for deployment by the Police Control Room; Handle a wide variety of enquiries from telephone and online contact; and Ensure the public received the required help and support, whilst handling sensitive and upsetting matters with empathy and a calm attitude. The standard shift pattern for this role is 6 days on and 4 days off on a rotating 20-week pattern (averaging at 37 hours per week). Shifts are generally 10 hours long with a 1-hour meal break and example hours are; 0700-1700, 1200-2200, 1700-0300, and 2200-0700. However, you may work any variation of a 10-hour shift depending on or demand and resource levels.
