Speed up misconduct investigations says Essex Fed after acquittal
An Essex Police dog handler has been found not guilty of “being dangerously out of control of his police dog” after a four-day Crown Court trial. Essex Police Federation has called on the force to “speed up” the ensuing misconduct investigation.

The North-East Trading Standards Association is a partnership of the 12 Local Authority Trading Standards Services within the North-East of England. As part of its role, it oversees a Regional Intelligence Function aimed at co-ordinating criminal intelligence work across the region. The Regional Intelligence Analyst sits within, and directs the work of, the intelligence function; a small team which also includes a dedicated Regional Intelligence Officer. The Team implements and supports the National Trading Standards Intelligence Operating Model locally, regionally and nationally. Based in Middlesbrough, the Intelligence function sits alongside, and works closely with, the North-East Regional Investigations Team.
