Police Oracle CV writing and interview preparation webinars launched

Police Oracle has launched new CV writing and interview preparation webinars to support public safety professionals in the sector develop their careers.
The new training modules will be available to subscribers from April.
With the portfolio career emerging as a trend for many public safety professionals, who often switch roles every few years, this new training will help support people as they look to make the most out of their jobs.
Job market analysts forecast that in the next decade-and-a-half workers in Britain will have an average of 12 jobs across their working lives – and more than a quarter (29 percent) will completely change their field of work.
New research from the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) found that approximately four million people had changed careers due to a lack of flexibility at work, while two million left a job altogether for the same reason.
Of course, there are benefits to staying within a job or career – but there are also positives to being more mobile across roles and sectors.
Exposure to different sectors broadens the range of transferable skills. Employers value workers with cross-sector experience.
These workers help bring fresh perspectives and working within these different fields can also help industries understand challenges to improve critical thinking.
Workers expand their personal and professional networks making them less siloed into singular profession types. All professions tend to adopt a ‘group think’ mindset on specific matters. This is unavoidable.
Experience in multiple industries makes it easier to handle uncertainty and change and exposes professionals to new technologies, methodologies and business models.
Police Oracle’s CV writing and interview preparation webinar is designed to teach attendees how to target positions within the preparation and development of their CVs and answer interview questions.
Accuracy, relevance, evidence and dealing with shortfalls and objections are key.
These sessions are free for subscribers and take place on April 16 and May 21.
