Challenge over 100-year-old ban on police union membership launched in High Court
Two serving officers, Lee Broadbent and Gemma Fox, are seeking to overturn section 64 of the Police Act 1996, which prevents officers from belonging to any trade union apart from the statutory Police Federation of England and Wales (PFEW).
