Building safer, fairer, more compassionate services: why our autumn webinar series matters

Police Oracle 26/09/2025
Comments 0

The new webinar series, set to launch between October and December, will offer high-impact online sessions that will help deepen knowledge, strengthen practice and equip the industry with the tools they need to deliver safer, fairer, and more inclusive services.

Currently, across policing, social care, housing, fire and rescue, and the wider public sector, the landscape professionals operate in is evolving rapidly.

Rising vulnerability, growing public scrutiny, and the continued impact of trauma mean that staff are navigating more complex challenges than ever before — from public inquiries and legislative change to the deepening cost-of-living crisis and the rise in complex safeguarding risks.

In aiding those challenges, Police Oracle, in partnership with Red Snapper Learning (RSL), will next month begin its new series of 90-minute webinars.

One of the most common questions Police Oracle hears is: “Can 90 minutes really make a difference?” The answer is a resounding YES.

Each webinar is built on the principle that well-designed, well-delivered micro-learning can have a transformative impact on professional practice.

Sessions are:

Evidence-based – grounded in the latest policy, legislation, and practice insights

Practical – focused on skills, strategies, and behaviours that can be applied immediately

Reflective – creating space to question assumptions, share experiences, and learn from others

Impactful – designed to spark real change in thinking, conversations, and delivery

For many participants, these sessions act as a springboard for meaningful improvements — prompting updates to policy, strengthening frontline responses, and reshaping how teams approach complex cases. They go far beyond awareness-raising, offering practical, real-world development that builds on existing knowledge while introducing fresh perspectives and actionable approaches.

The webinar programme aims to go beyond traditional policing topics to tackle modern issues like Digital Forensics, OSINT for Managers, and Operational Security for Investigators. It also addresses critical social and cultural topics, with sessions on Disability Inclusion, Microaggressions, and Anti-Racist Organisational practices.

Police Oracle believes its webinars provide a vital space to discuss and learn about complex issues affecting today’s professional environment.

Accessible and Flexible Learning

The programme is delivered as free webinars; they are easily accessible to a wide audience. This format allows professionals to fit learning into their busy schedules without the need for travel or significant financial investment, promoting continuous professional development across organisations.

Building a Stronger Community

The programme aims to bring out a sense of community by bringing together professionals from across different sectors.

By providing a platform for shared learning, Police Oracle webinars help build a more informed and cohesive network, with a shared goal of upholding professional standards and improving service delivery.

The October to December programme is a valuable resource for anyone looking to strengthen their skills and stay current in an ever-changing professional landscape.

Dipti Mouj, Practice Manager, EDI, Safeguarding & Trauma-Informed Practice, RSL, said that “good practice is never static”, adding: “Whether it’s safeguarding children, tackling domestic abuse, or addressing structural inequality, the world keeps changing — and so must we. This series is about empowering practitioners to respond to that change with confidence, insight, and impact.”

Dipesh Mistry, Head of Practice – Government Regulatory Sector and Policing, continued: “I’m delighted to see such a great programme of free webinars from our colleagues at Police Oracle. This programme directly addresses many of the challenges my clients face daily, from new investigative techniques to critical workplace issues. I believe these sessions are a perfect way to support the market and ensure they have the tools and knowledge needed to excel.”

If you’re committed to building your skills, strengthening the support you offer, and shaping better outcomes for the people and communities you work with, this autumn webinar series is for you.
