An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force’s (RT&CIPF) senior leadership team, as a superintendent, with national responsibility for Specialist Operations.
The Superintendent – Specialist Operations provides strategic leadership and is responsible for the management, delivery and development of Armed Policing (operational and training), Firearms Licencing, Command and Border Security.
The candidate must have proven experience as a Tactical Firearms Commander (both Spontaneous and Tactical) and as a Strategic Firearms Commander. They must also have experience developing operational plans including operational orders, response plans and emergency plans. Good business planning, report writing and written skills are also essential. The successful applicant will have proven ability managing staff and operating successfully in diverse and sometimes challenging environments.
They will require resilience, diplomacy and strong communication skills so as to develop successful business relationships at all levels of the force and across our partnerships. The post holder must be able to develop staff and the general business and assist the Executive in developing a long-term plan for the directorate.
The Superintendent – Specialist Operations will provide the leadership required to promote the development of a positive, inclusive and public service focussed culture, and compliance with the RT&CIPF Code of Ethics, policies, and working processes to ensure adherence to standards, and the promotion of accountability, personal development, and continuous improvement
