Under a new zero-tolerance approach, the government is looking to expand powers under the Police and Criminal Evidence Act (PACE) as well as the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 (POCA) and other legislation to the Environment Agency and its enforcement officers.

This role plays a vital part in the disruption of organised crime by targeting, identifying and recovering criminally derived assets, supporting both proactive and reactive financial investigations. You will work in line with Threat, Harm and Risk priorities, using criminal and civil legislation to pursue asset restraint, seizure, forfeiture and confiscation, contributing directly to the reduction of serious and organised crime.
