Toothpaste, scented candles, a violin, A DeWalt DW721 Radial Arm Saw, two wooden hippos and a cat.

This isn’t some bad conveyor belt line-up on The Generation Game, these are some of the listed items up for auction by West Midlands Police.

The seized police goods are set to be sold off for a tidy amount which will go towards funding community initiatives.

Other items to be sold of next Tuesday, include a snowboard, an Xbox One and some high-end alcohol.

One lot consists of seven bottles of Dom Perignon Vintage 2006 Champagne and two bottles of Grey Goose Vodka. No reserve price has been given, but is estimated that the bottles of champagne are worth £117 each.

On the other end of the scale is a plastic bag containing cans of Stella Artois, worth a pittance in comparison.

Items for sale are either unclaimed lost property, or have been seized by the force during investigations into crimes such as burglary, theft and fraud,

They are then put up for auction when the identity of the rightful owners of the property cannot be identified.

The most valuable items are several lots of power tools and electrical equipment.

A DeWalt DW721 Radial Arm Saw is estimated to be worth around £2,000-£3,000, whilst a MINI MAX Classic Sliding Table Panel Saw listed is currently onsale for £3,500.
