Struth! Arrested woman hands over baby koala she was hiding in her bag
Queensland Police describe animal as 'gorgeous boy'.

What is the strangest thing someone has ever told you when you’ve detained them?
When a 50-year-old woman was arrested by Queensland Police officers for “outstanding matters” recently, the officers involved got what was surely the most pleasant surprise of their careers.
A statement from the force said the woman was asked if she had anything to declare while being transported to a watch house.
She then handed over a zipped-up green canvas bag telling them it contained a baby koala.
“Not quite believing their ears the officers cautiously un-zipped the bag and found this gorgeous boy,” the official police statement says.
Senior Constable Rio Law was happy to pose for a few photos with the little joey before officers handed them over to Brisbane’s animal rescue service.
But the RSPCA has issued a warning to the Australian public not to handle koalas if they find them in the wild as they could have internal injuries.
The organisation says this koala is healthy and has named him “Alfred”.
