RSR are looking for an experienced Intelligence Analyst to work in Birmnigham in a full-time role.

We are currently recruiting for experienced Higher Analyst to work on a full-time contract in Birmingham.
The role is based with a local Police Force, and the contract is until the end of March 2026.

The role is paying £186 per day (PAYE).

The role will be situated within a Police Force, so applicants must be able to obtain national security vetting.

Role overview:

As part of Force Intelligence, the Higher Analyst will provide specialist, professional and technical intelligence support to ensure quality, precise and timely outcomes from the department, and to prepare and deliver analytical  outputs.

Main Responsibilities:
 
•        To provide technical intelligence advice and guidance for Force Intelligence.

•        To undertake all analytical functions in relation to the preparation of comprehensive intelligence products in accordance with nationally agreed principles.

•        To quality assure intelligence and analytical products to ensure corporate standards are maintained across the Force, and identify where improvements are required.

•        Working to the direction of the Head of Profession, assess and improve analyst technical skills throughout the Force ensuring consistency of assessment measures in line with National Occupational Standards.

•        Ensure the continuing professional development of intelligence staff through regular contact and communication to disseminate effective practice and deliver guidance.

•        Support the Intelligence Academy in the delivery and assurance of IPP.

•        To assist the Head of Profession in the preparation and delivery of intelligence/analytical training materials to develop intelligence professionals.

•        To prepare briefing notes and deliver presentations where appropriate.

•        To conduct strategic, tactical and operational analysis, and support the delivery of Strategic Assessments

•        To liaise with staff across the Force and other agencies to obtain and/or disseminate information.

•        To prepare evidence, and attend court and give evidence when required.

•        To take appropriate security precautions in respect of intelligence information.

Knowledge/Experience:

•        At least three years analytical experience within an intelligence environment.

•        Qualified to graduate level in a relevant subject or studying for a post graduate qualification in a relevant field.

•        A depth of experience with complex strategic and tactical intelligence analysis and planning.

•        Evidence of negotiating & influencing skills.

•        Evidence of coaching and mentoring experience.

•        Experience of training delivery

•        Experienced in the use of analytical tools and systems.
