Study the role security and policing play in fighting terrorism - by distance learning with Liverpool John Moores University

Starts 16 September 2019

Why Terrorism, Policing & Security?

Police are often the first line of defence against terrorist attacks, and the growing role of policing in counter-terrorism means new challenges for police officers. In both national and international circles, there is an increasing need for personnel to have a strong understanding of the interdisciplinary links between security and counter-terrorism.

Our postgraduate course in Terrorism, Policing and Security is designed to provide police officers with the necessary skills to help combat terrorism and international crime. Focusing on international security issues such as intelligence, military response and criminal justice, you will also analyse security closer to home and identify community policing's role in combatting radicalisation. Learn how policing theory, governance and policymaking connects to global security via distance learning to better understand the international policing community.

When: 16 September 2019
Where: Delivered online via Liverpool John Moores University

During your postgraduate study, you will learn how to analyse the current issues facing the global police force, and the role of police intelligence to counter radicalisation and terrorism.
