The Police Oracle 2025 Training Academy sessions and dates announced

An extensive schedule of new sessions have been announced for next year after the 2024 Police Oracle training academy finished on 13th December with its webinar which focused on Forensic Awareness.
The training academy is a subscriber benefit which provides free to attend, two-hour training webinars, on a range of law enforcement competencies.
Across 2024 we provided 24 sessions which were attended by 4,488 delegates from across UK policing, the broader UK law enforcement sector and from international law enforcement professionals.
Every UK police force was represented and there was a high attendance rate from partners in local and central government, specialist organisations such as the Serious Fraud Office and delegates from the regulator services sector, including the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) and the Security Industry Authority(SIA).
Over 200 police officers employed by British Overseas Territories attended and over 500 from Australian, New Zealand and Canadian forces.
Trainers reported that there were many examples of excellent exchanges between professionals from with different remits, from different jurisdictions and with different methods and approaches.
Police Oracle is delighted with the impact the academy has had on improving the experience for our subscribers so we have decided to expand the 2025 academy.
Next year the academy will have 112 webinars which will be broken down into academy themes. Our goal is to provide training to over 15,000 public safety professionals across 2025.
We spent the Autumn taking soundings from the sector on how to improve the offer. As a result of this feedback the 2025 academy is divided into four separate offers all which are open to any police oracle subscriber:
- The General Academy
- 44 sessions covering a wide range of topics such as CPIA, forensic awareness and softer skills for example cultural competencies and conducting performance reviews
- The Leadership Academy
- Monthly sessions providing webinars to support law enforcement leaders. Sessions range from the provision of guidance on how to Navigate Competitive Bidding Processes to Securing Funding through to managing crisis.
- The Detective Academy
- Four quarterly programmes with each programme containing 14 two-hour sessions. Designed to support qualified detectives these sessions are all about putting theory into practice. The training content is designed to enhance knowledge, refine skills, and strengthen officers’ operational effectiveness.
- The NIE and NPPF Crammers
- Currently we have five NIE crammers sessions planned and there will be several more for the 2025 sergeants and inspectors exams.
These sessions are provided in partnership with Red Snapper Learning and 999 Learning Ltd. Commenting on the partnership Dipesh Mistry head of public safety training at RSL stated: “We’re delighted to continue to provide this free training for Police Oracle subscribers. Our training team gains a lot from these sessions. It is unusual for them to provide sessions which are attended by such a cross section of law enforcement professionals. The attendees are so committed and interested, we believe, because they self-elect to attend which makes for incredibly engaging sessions from which our trainers learn.”
