It is important to recognise that this meeting, the people who attended and the views aired are not representative of the wider Muslim community. We are determined that the activities of a few individuals will not be allowed to bring fear and violence amongst any of our communities. Once again our message is very clear. To those who are intent on bringing fear and violence into communities; we will use the full force of the law to apprehend and prosecute you. Your actions are unwarranted and will destroy the peaceful and respectable community that your families and friends have worked so hard to build. To those who are in fear from mindless acts of violence disrupting their lives, be reassured that there are many people who are determined to help and support you.
