On 15 September 2001, FACT’s Senior Investigator, Alastair
DONALDSON, assisted the officers from Warwickshire Trading Standards on a raid
at a car boot sale. The officials
moved in and secured four stalls dealing in counterfeit and/or infringing
product. The
seizure consisted of both video cassettes and DVD's, DVD’s representing the
greater amount seized. In total four stalls were searched and items were seized
from them all. DVD's from the
stalls were all current un-released titles such as 'Planet Of The
Apes'. FACT
Investigator, Alastair Donaldson said, "It was a successful and co-ordinated
operation with Warwickshire TSO. The seizure is being itemised and the TSO
officer in charge will inform FACT shortly of numbers seized." |
