Cabbie rapist John Worboys is officially the UK's worst sex predator with at least 102 victims, a police probe has found.

But it emerged last night that 90 of the women he attacked will never get justice.

Crown lawyers have ruled it is "not in the public interest" to make Worboys, 53, face a new trial because he is already serving an indeterminate sentence.

“Worboys was jailed indefinitely, with a minimum of eight years before he can be considered for release”

He was convicted in March 2009 of sex attacks on 12 girls who he lured into his black London taxi.

Worboys offered them a glass of bubbly, saying he was celebrating a Lotto or casino win.

But the drinks were spiked with a powerful "date rape" drug to knock them out.

Scotland Yard has interviewed other victims since the trial. And 19 other women with credible accounts of attacks have come forward.

Worboys of Rotherhithe, South East London, was already suspected of 83 attacks - including the 12 he was charged with - between 2002 and 2008.

But detectives think the 102 figure - making him the UK's most prolific known sex beast - is the "tip of an iceberg".

They believe he carried out 200 rapes, sex assaults or attempts to drug women passengers.

The Crown Prosecution Service advised against further legal action and victims have been told by letter of the decision.

Worboys was jailed indefinitely, with a minimum of eight years before he can be considered for release.

The Yard was slammed over its handling of the Worboys case.

More than 30 girls were attacked after police arrested him in 2007 then freed him on bail.

A Chief Superintendent was axed over the botched investigation.

A police spokesman, who confirmed the 102 figure, said: "There is a high possibility there are more victims out there.

"The difficulty is that a large number of the women do not know whether they were raped or not.

"The only person who knows is Worboys himself. We hope he might consider telling us in the future what went on."

Another serial rapist, former rail worker Antoni Imiela, 55, is due in court on November 1 after detectives from the "cold case" squad charged him with a rape in Sydenham, South East London, on Christmas Day 1987.
