Police Arrest Religious Zealot For Death Threats

A religious extremist has been arrested for calling for Elton John to be killed after the star suggested that Jesus was a homosexual.

Neal Horsley posted a video on YouTube in which he stood outside the singer's US flat with a placard that read: "Elton John must die."

Elton, 62, recently told a US magazine "I think Jesus was a compassionate, super-intelligent gay man who understood human problems."

In the clip Horsley says "Elton John desecrated the image of the Lord Jesus Christ, blasphemed the Lord Jesus Christ."

Police arrested Horsley, 65 - an anti-abortion campaigner - for making "terrorist" threats. He was later freed on bail.

An arrest report said Elton had seen Horsley's placard outside his £1.5million apartment in Atlanta, Georgia.
