This year's National Police Horse of the Year Show is to be hosted by Merseyside Police Chief Constable Bernard Hogan-Howe at the new state of the art Aintree Equestrian Centre, Aintree Racecourse.

The 3-day event, which will run from the 26th - 28th August, will have displays from police forces from all around the country and even from France. There will be displays from members of Riding for the Disabled, the Pony Club and Merseyside Police's Mounted and dog sections. For the first time the event will include the equestrian element of the World Firefighter Games.

The nominated charity is Riding for the Disabled who will receive a donation from ticket sales.
