Mad Cop Andy Seery has sailed to a massive fundraising total for the Army Benevolent Fund (ABF) The Soldiers' Charity by rowing from London to Poland on Europe's roads.
The Met PC was met by thronging crowds in Belgium, Germany and Poland, with local police providing escorts between city limits as he rowed his specially adapted 13ft boat.
PC Seery told PoliceOracle.com that the response to his contraption and eccentric fundraising escapade ranged from "disbelief to total humour".

The Mad Cop covered 1,200 miles of tarmac in less than six weeks and is on target to raise more than £40,000 for the ABF by September this year.
He said: "It is hard to single out any good days or bad days. It's a bit of a blur and was a very humbling experience to be involved in the trip and to meet so many wonderful people."
The Coldstream Guards provided considerable training support to PC Seery's preparations and British troops based in Hamel in Germany gave the Mad Cop a 'MOT' at the halfway stage.
But the madness is not yet over. MadCop3 is already in the planning phase, as PC Seery prepares to ride a hobby horse through the UK and across Europe dressed as St George for Help for Heroes next year.
