Police pay should reflect dangerous job
Despite a one per cent pay rise for officers, real time pay continues to decline and officers should not be expected to do the same job for less money, writes Royston Martis.
Would people in any profession be happy coming to work to do the same job but earning less than they did the previous year?
Of course not.
No one would be pleased to take a pay cut. People simply would not tolerate it.
