Officer Rape Charge: Trial Date Set

A serving detective sergeant with Nottinghamshire Police is to face trial after denying a string of serious sexual offences when he appeared before Derby Crown Court.
DS Trevor Gray (47) denied rape, as well as one count of attempted rape and a third charge of sexual touching against a 43-year-old woman, at a hearing on February 22.
The charges relate to an incident at a house in Nottingham in the early hours of 24 July last year, while the defendant was off-duty.
Gray has been suspended from duty since July 27 2011 pending the outcome of the investigation.
A trial date is set for May 28 2012 at Derby Crown Court.
