Two Bodies Found in Murder Probe

Merseyside detectives have discovered a second body during their investigation into the murder of a pensioner in Southport.
The body was found early on Wednesday February 22 following further enquiries in the resort town.
Both women are believed to be in their 80s.
A 43-year-old man from Southport has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is due to be interviewed later.
He was arrested following the discovery of the first body in the evening on Tuesday February 21.
Neither of the pensioners has been identified.
Police had earlier said that the first woman might have been killed during a burglary.
A police statement said: “At this time the cause of death has yet to be established and Home Office post mortems will be carried out later today.
“The Force Major Incident Team is leading the investigation and house-to-house enquiries are underway, both scenes remain sealed for forensic examination.”
