Shooting Incident: 15-Year-Old Held

As Hampshire Constabulary steps up efforts, two more are arrested over shooting.

A 15-year-old boy has been arrested and held in connection with the shooting of a man in Southampton.
He was also suspected of being in possession of a firearm, Hampshire Constabulary has said.
The 27-year-old victim, who was shot in the leg, was targeted in the evening on Sunday February 19 in the Bitterne area of the city and is recovering in hospital.
His injuries are not life threatening.
The 15-year-old was arrested on Tuesday February 21 in a case which has seen around 40 officers following lines of enquiry – including outside of the county.
A 25-year-old man from London has also been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is now due to be brought to Hampshire for questioning.
Another 25-year-old man from Southampton, who was arrested shortly after the incident, has been released on police bail until Wednesday February 22.
A police statement added: “This (case) has included the execution of six search warrants, five at addresses in Southampton and one outside the county.”
