Police Stabbing: Man Charged

Officer injured in attempted arrest is released from hospital.

A 23-year-old man has been charged following the stabbing of a police officer on Friday February 17.
Lance Beane of Primrose Close, Norwich, was charged with GBH with intent after the incident in the Norfolk town.
The officer, who received stab wounds to his hand during an attempted arrest, has now been released from hospital after having stitches.
A police spokesman said: “He was released from hospital and he is going to be OK.
“I would imagine he will be back on duty fairly soon.”
Beane has appeared before Norwich Magistrates Court and was remanded in custody.
