A Man has been charged over a hoax bomb threat made to Stanstead Airport, which claimed a van was on its way to the area with explosives on board.
Paul Jackson, (40), of Infirmary Street, Blackburn, has been charged with communicating false information and appeared before magistrates on Saturday February 18 where he was remanded in custody.
He is also due to appear before magistrates on Monday February 20.
Lancashire Police said hoax calls were made to a police force saying a van was “on its way to Stanstead with explosives on board.”
Jackson was arrested early on Friday February 17.
A second man, also aged 40 from Blackburn, has been released without charge.
