Border Agency officials were left scratching their heads after a suitcase full of dead pigeons was found at Gatwick Airport. The reasons why anyone would want to bring the deceased birds into the UK is a mystery – although the stomach-churching prospect that they were heading for a restaurant is a distinct possibility.
